Greenhouse Protection Shading Made Easy

Our Shade Paints are used to reduce heat and excess light in greenhouses. Our paints can block UV light and control how much growing light passes through to your crops. When the rain comes the paint allows more light and when dry during the hot summer days provides the right amount of shade.

The formula comes in a concentrated form and is water-based, making it easy to mix with water and apply with a sprayer for optimal and consistent coverage. It is usable on multiple surfaces and may be diluted precisely to your needs for seasonal weather patterns. Easy clean up with just soap and water.

As our shade paint, as it is exposed to the sun and rain, will start to wear off. For best results, we recommend using one of our paint removers. However, additional coats can be added, this is most commonly done with the Econo Shade paint.

Econo

Econo Shade paint is used on any surface with the longevity of approximately 3-4 months under normal conditions. Mostly used in the later months of the year when shade is most needed.

Cool Aide

Cool Aide paint is most commonly used on polycarbonate surfaces with a longevity of approximately 6-8 months under normal weather conditions. This can be used on glass surfaces but will fade quickly.

Long Life

Long Life paint is most commonly used on glass surfaces with the longest longevity of approximately 8-10 months under normal weather conditions.

Extra Long Life

Extra Long Life can be used on all surfaces with the longevity of 1 plus years, depending on the surface type. Best used on areas which require constant year around shade.

Recommended use on all paints:

  • Mix Ratio: Dilution is three to four parts water to one part paint. Not recommended at higher than four parts water.
  • At 4:1 ratio and wet, paint provides 1000 foot-candles of light. Dry paint provides 600 foot-candles.
